Spanning an impressive 750,000 square meters and consuming over 300,000 cubic meters of ice and snow, it stands as a centerpiece of the Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival. A Festival Born for the New Millennium

In 1999, Harbin Municipal Government established this icy paradise to celebrate the arrival of the new millennium. Since then, the event has become an iconic feature of Harbin, embedding the spirit of ice and snow into the lives of Harbiners. Each year, the festival creates a mesmerizing fairy tale world of ice and snow, drawing millions of tourists. The festival has even hosted state leaders and ambassadors, who have praised its grandeur and cultural significance.

Harbin Ice and Snow World is located in the western part of Sun Island, Songbei District, Harbin. The serene surroundings of Sun Island provide the perfect backdrop for this magical winter destination.

Opening Dates and Hours

The park typically opens around December 20 each year and remains operational until late February of the following year. Daily visiting hours are from 9:30 AM to 9:00 PM, offering ample time to explore this icy wonderland.

Admission Fees

In recent years, ticket prices have varied, with the 2021 admission fee set at RMB 100 per person. Historically, prices reached up to RMB 330 per person during peak seasons.

Special Discounts and Free Admission

Children under 1.2 meters in height enjoy free admission.

Harbin residents can avail discounts by presenting their Harbin ID cards.

Senior residents aged 60 and above with valid Harbin ID cards or "Senior Citizen Cards" receive free entry.

Tourists aged 70 or older with valid identification (passports for foreign tourists, ID cards for Chinese visitors) are also eligible for free entry.

Important Note for Local Residents

The park reserves special opening hours for Harbin residents on Mondays, excluding public holidays. This rule applies to all residents of Harbin's eight districts and ten counties.
