Hey, Lykkers! Are you ready to uncover the charm of Gili Bedis Island with us?
We’ve gathered some incredible travel tips and stories from our adventures that we can’t wait to share!
One of our favorite spots on Gili Bedis was its pristine beaches, where we spent hours soaking up the sun and enjoying the crystal-clear waters. The island’s beaches are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and simply relaxing by the shore. We discovered a hidden gem called Pantai Gili Bedis, known for its soft white sand and vibrant coral reefs just a short swim from the beach. It's open year-round and is free to access, making it an ideal spot for a day of fun in the sun. We loved spending our afternoons here, surrounded by breathtaking views and the soothing sounds of the waves.
Another highlight of our trip was the snorkeling adventure we embarked on to explore the stunning coral reefs surrounding Gili Bedis. We joined a local tour that took us to some of the best snorkeling spots in the area, including Turtle Point, where we were lucky enough to swim alongside sea turtles and vibrant marine life. The tours typically operate daily from 9 AM to 3 PM, and prices usually range from €20 to €30 per person, including gear and refreshments. It was an unforgettable experience that allowed us to connect with the incredible underwater world!
When planning our visit, we found that the best time to go to Gili Bedis is during the dry season, from April to October. To get to the island, we took a boat from Lombok or Bali, which offered stunning views of the surrounding waters. Make sure to pack essentials like sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of water, as there are limited shops on the island. We also recommend bringing cash, as many places do not accept cards.
During our stay, we made it a point to try the local cuisine, which was a delightful experience. We enjoyed fresh seafood dishes and traditional Indonesian flavors at charming beachside eateries. One of our favorites was a small warung where we savored Nasi Goreng (fried rice) and Sate Ayam (chicken satay), all while enjoying the stunning sunset views. Eating fresh, local food was a highlight of our trip, and we encourage you to explore the local dining scene!
As we explored Gili Bedis, we embraced the laid-back island vibe that made our visit so enjoyable. The friendly locals and stunning landscapes created a welcoming atmosphere that we cherished. Whether we were lounging on the beach or exploring the island by foot, every moment felt like a special adventure. We loved getting to know the island’s beauty and warmth, making it a place we’ll never forget
